Since 2000 I have done more than 170 deliveries covering more than 55,000 nautical miles.
Another winter over, hooray!
Williams Shipping kept me going over the course of a very harsh time (weather wise). I spent nine days in the port of Pembroke driving their tug "Wilfreedom" and lots of other jobs in and around the port of Southampton. M. L. Dredging employed my services quite extensively, dredging various marinas in and around the Solent. I spent a week at Cobbs Quay on the Split II which made a welcome change. RBS Marine are as usual quite busy. I completed several handovers on new and used boats as well as a number of short deliveries.
An old friend
In April, I was asked to deliver a Fairline Squadron 55 from Bergen to Hamble. To my amazement when I arrived in Norway the boat turned out to be "Blue Ocean of Hamble". In 2002 I did the handover on this boat when she was new. In 2004 I was asked to deliver her to Lanzarote then in 2005 I was once again asked to deliver her back to Hamble. The boat was later sold and the last time I saw her she was lying in Eastbourne Marina. 2011 and here she is again in Norway coming home to Hamble for a complete refit.
